How It Works

  • Upload a photo — take one or pick from your library and we’ll pre-fill the name, creamery, country, milk type, pasteurization, rennet, and age for you. Review the fields before sending — we fill in what we can, not what we’re sure of.
  • Fill in the rest — only the cheese name is required. Creamery, pasteurization, rennet, age, country, milk type, and description are all optional.
  • Get an instant answer — most requests are reviewed automatically the moment you submit, so you’ll usually know right away whether it’s approved, a duplicate, not recognizable as cheese, or needs a closer look.
  • Appeal a decision — disagree with the call, even an approval? Tap Appeal on the result screen to email our team directly, with your request already referenced.
  • Track your requests — see the status of everything you’ve submitted from your Profile under My Requests.
Use the country filter on the Cheese Library alongside My Passport to spot gaps before you request — someone else may have already added the cheese you’re thinking of.
